Rise of Flight
Rise of Flight
Just caught a glimpse of this and it made me think of the ol' Red Baron game by Dynamix/Sierra.

I bought the sim myself and here are some pics I posted in the aerodrome forums:
Better make sure you have a fast machine to run it properly though. I had to upgrade from a Nvidia 8500GT 512 MB to a Nvidia GeForce 9400 1 GB just to get it fairly smooth, and I'm running 4 gigs of memory as well.
The game first came out with only the Spad 13 and Fokker D-7, now they added the Nieuport 28 you see in the pictures and an Albatros D-V, they were going to charge around $7.50 fr each plane, but felt bad that there were much needed updates and the time spent waiting for them that they gave us the extra 2 fighters for free.
I purchased this game through GoGamer.com and it came in 2 days for $39.00.
It is definitley the most realistic WW1 flight sim I've ever played.

Would be cool to check the aerobatic capabilities of these underpowered engines with paper wings.Thumper wrote:I see WWI formation aerobatics and solo barnstorming looming on the horizon...
I flew Knights of the Sky (now called ROF) back in 2007 in Moscow and damn, this is a cool sim! Will visit Andrew Petrovich his office again this summer (and who knows there is an English copy around somewhere AHUM!).
For sure it is cool to see how they work on a simulator, here is a little movie to give you an impression:
