And we have liftoff of the space shuttle... :lol: That looks like a lot of smoke there.

What does it look like with four airplanes, and does it dissipate nicely? Also, what's the framerate impact with six smoke trails?

With 6 planes, yea there's quite a bit of smoke, and the frames drop was around 5ish for me, since it's just a .tga file replacement. However I felt the smoke was too dirty for my taste so I brightened up the files. Looks nicer.

I'll PM you some shots.

@Blaze, thanks for the PM.

Looks... different. Not sure it looks more realistic, but definitely more distinct. It's almost too "heavy" - especially when you compare with real footage (that also dissipates very quickly). This reminds me of rocket launches more than air shows for some reason, having lived near the Cape for over a decade. Not that the default smoke in Lock On is all that much better though...

Yea I agree with you LD, I'm probably just gonna stick with the default smoke, maybe use this new one for solo stuff. It's a bit too thick and doesn't dissipate nearly fast enough. If the smoke was wispier and dissipated faster then it'd definitely be better than default. I'm gonna play around with it a bit and I'll let you know if I get anything more realistic out of it.

And yea having been to many many Shuttle launches, I can see the connection! :lol: Makes great damage smoke though, I must say. I think there's a way to just have that, and the default airshow smoke. Like I said, I'll play around with it and let you know.
