Cant seem to find it........ HELP

Post by CrunchTime » Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:01 pm

Great site and cant wait to hopefully participate... I am however having trouble finding the install directions to get the sounds and graphics into LOMAC... If anyone can direct me to this that would be GREAT!!!

Scott

PS I did notice that the sound files have the Daytona Air Shows.. was wondering if someone here live in or near Daytona Beach.. I live near Daytona Beach..

Scott,

Use LoMan to install the mod, sound mod and lift lines! It's a third party software used to addon mods to the game. Try searching for it on lomacfiles.com. All you need to do is put the zip files into LoMan's addon directory and then run LoMan and choose which mods you'd like to install/uninstall. The ones that are on our website are still the 1.02 mods, but we're working on mods for 1.1 now and should have those up shortly...

I used to live in Daytona Beach a few years ago, but not any more. I actually saw one of the shows where that audio is taken from...

The files on our website right now are 1.02 mods. Give it a week or two and we should have most of our mods updated to work with 1.1...

It's up to you what you decide to do right now... Parts of the mod might work with 1.1 even now, but not 100%...

Trying to purchase 1.1 from the Lomacfiles site and no dice. Any ideas why?

Well, Lomacfiles doesn't sell 1.1 first of all. They probably have a link to where you can buy it. You should go to The Official Lock-On Site to purchase 1.1 and then if you have any questions ask for their support (Eagle Dynamics). I'm sure there are plenty of people on their forum asking the same question...

Update

Post by CrunchTime » Sun Apr 10, 2005 1:36 pm

Ok guys I had already installed 1.2, and so I went ahead and put in LoMan... everything seems to install and run fine but one thing... The F-16 I fly is showing an F-16 from Aviano AB Italy.... Is there another step I should do to get the T-Birds decals to show???
Thanks

No, you shouldn't have to do anything else. I'd suggest a clean install of LOMAC and then patch the game up to v1.02. Then install the mod using LoMan 2.x and everything should run fine!

(It won't be long before we have the mod avail for LOMAC v1.1).

I have had everything installed for a while now but I'm curious. In the Mod package it has a V1 and V2 the V2 is low res version. Does the current team use the low res or not?

It depends on their computer. If you ahve a good computer (which most of them do) then you can have the high res, the low res ones are for slower computers and make for less of a graphic hit which helps MP.

Well, some of us had problems with the high res skins (2048 x 2048) and most of us, myself included used the low res ones (1024 x 1024) instead. You really cannot tell much of a difference unless you look at the markings on the airplanes, and then still it's hard to tell.

The new mod we're working on should only have one resolution only.
