The Blue Eagles IL-2 Aerobatic Team Has Retired

Post by Blaze » Sat Aug 02, 2008 9:37 pm

It was a sad day July 23 when Blue Eagles leader Falcon announced that the Blue Eagles team was retiring. I remember when I first saw them back in 2006, and they were what kickstarted my interest in aerobatics in IL-2. For months I was training myself to hopefully join up with the team, but I guess now I will have to find another team. :( Thank you Blue Eagles for the 3 years of enjoyment, amazing demonstrations, and the public sessions I was able to join in on HL. You are all superior aviators, and really good friends. Have fun and good luck with whatever you move onto next. 8)

Thanks a lot for enjoying flying with us. It has been the most amazing 2 years of my life with this team. It is really unbelievable sometimes how good teams can end like this :(. I would like to thank everyone who supported us, and appreciated our talents. My only wish is that I could have had more time in the team, what honor it is for me to have flown with such elite people, maybe the best I've ever seen, and I know that deep inside all those who flew with the Blue Eagles, will always have a spark for the team, we will forever remember the good and bad times we had, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end

I salute all the pilots who flew with me during these great 2 years, and also those who supported the team, those who flew with us, the many friends we made, other teams that look up to us, EVERYONE! I thank you again!

Well as the only team leader all time, it was an honor for me to fly with every single ex blue eagles member.

Like skyhawk posted it already, thanks to everyone, who supported the team and hope you liked our flying, pictures and videos.
