The lighting looks amazing, just like the terrain, T-38 model... and none of it is even beta yet, just a pre-alpha build. I imagine most of the touch-ups will be done at a later stage when the meat and potatoes are finished, which makes this render even more impressive. The video (bottom of p.7 in the interview) looks so fluid and here's hoping that the netcode is as silky smooth as the video. :D

Even if it takes another half a decade, it's about time a new generation of sims take over the genre. FO looks very promising to say the least!

WOW!! :shock:

The terrain model looks awesome. I can't tell you what I would give to be able to fly over Nevada in our jets...

This is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time, I really hope we see a product release before the end of this decade if not sooner... I want to fly that sim so bad I can taste it!

Superb reading.
I took my time to digest all of the answers Rick gave too and what an excellent article.
I'm downloading the vid now and the screens look amazing.

I can't wait to do some low level flying along those mountains.
