Getting Started with Formation Flying?

Hey Guys,
One heck of a demonstration group. Between the VTB and VBA, I actually broke LOMAC out and actually learned the system...something I hadn't done in the several years I've had the program.
My question is how would you guys recommend learning the tight formation flying? I have a long experience with flight sims and over the past couple weeks have gotten a lot of the "solo" aerobatic routines down fairly well (still room for improvement, but can usually hit them with in +/- 10 ft, 10 kts and on centerline), but can't seem to tighten up formations to closer than about 10 meters. I think a lot of the problem is that I've been doing this with AI flying. If everything is straight and level, I can get in within a couple meters, but then comes the sudden turn and I lose it.
Any recommendations for this? Seems like I need to be heading online somewhere so that there can be good communication between flight lead and wingman, but am not sure where to head. I have heard of the phantom tracks, but have only one computer, so I am unable to use those. I'd love to work on this and maybe in a while see about pursuing a flight spot here.
Thanks for your help.
