The VAT White Ravens wishes the Virtual Thunderbirds a happy and successful 2008!

In 2008, our server will probably open for guest pilots every sunday from 18:00 untill 23:00 GMT.

Thanks for the generosity and update! Unfortunately, I'll be unavailable to drop in and take your server for a test drive the first week of '08 - but definitely a Sunday later on sometime.

Unrelated question: When you guys fly the 9-ship formation, does Timoha "lead" the 2nd demo team off his wing or does Vladimir and Stella Mala fly off Artemy and Vitaliska ahead of them? (Timoha would have to be Sierra Hotel and fly precise in slot while acting as a disciplined lead element too - which naturally any Slot pilot should be). I understand this is a more of a sim related question, whereas in real life these pilots would fly paint off a preceding a/c, yet maneuver about the Boss' aircraft in the periphery.

Don't want to reveal too much about our 2008 display but we will have 2 demo teams or elements if you like in our display, both flying solo and in one big group. Regarding the 2nd demo team with Timoha as lead, he will ofcourse try to fly as stable as possible as soon as the 2nd demo team joins up with the 1st demo team. Timoha will switch from lead to slot pilot. For the following pilots of demo team 2 this means they have to switch leader also, their main focus must switch from Timoha to the 1st demo team leader. They will keep (as any 2nd wingman from leader) the 1st winger (or slot) as distance and position reference and the main leader as main focus to have the best flight predictions.

Ps: if Vladimir and Stella would only use Artemy and Vitaliska as focus, there would be the danger of them crashing into the slot pilot while doing violent maneuvers.
