An F-16C Fighting Falcon from the Texas Air National Guard's 111th Fighter Squadron flies with a special paint job in honor of the squadron's 90th anniversary. All the colors and markings have specific meanings, reflecting the unit's nine-decade history.

Familiar with that one. I saw it at Ellington Field in Houston/Galveston ths year. I am sure Tex from the VBA could tell you more about it. He works at Ellington under contract for NASA maintining their T-38 fleet.
The paint scheme is common to Army Air Corps between WW1 and WW2. Although I have seen mostly trainers painten in this scheme, I have also seen a Martin B-10 bomber wearing this paint scheme as well. Looks odd seeing it on the Viper, but it's kinda cool to see something different that pays homage to the heritage of the 111th.
