A little bit of history today

The first A380 commercial flight, Singapore to Sydney, my home town and base airport!

Qantas has 20 of these on order and the first one arrives next August. I could have scored the last Captains slot offered in the first allocation but declined as it would mean doing a lot of reserve work for the next 5-8 years.

Now I kinda wish I had! Oh well, will just have to put up with the A330 for a few more years..;)

One big beast alright.

I worked at Heathrow Terminal 5 for 2 years constructing it, all ready for the A380, can't wait to see the first one land there.

BA have 12 on order too.
