I just won a set of Elite pedals on ebay for $34.00 and I am definitely happy. For those that have a set already, I have a few questions:
Did you install Cubby's Hall Sensor Mod?
Did it make a big difference?
Approximately how much does it cost?
Would you recommend doing it immediately?
How difficult is the installation process?
Thrustmaster Elites & Cubby's Hall Sensor kit
Yep - good to go as is, but it's nice to have Cubby's HS kit if they go bad, since they've been discontinued by TM for some time now...
Of course it does make a difference with the HS installed (if you look for the change), but not quite enough to justify the cost, especially considering how much you use rudder compared to other flight controls. Also, while the input will be precise on your end, the netcode in most sims doesn't update the z-axis as often as x/y-axis'. If you want precision and you're willing to pay the price, you'll be happy - but honestly, it will be very hard to see a noticable difference! I got my HS kit, since I suspected my pot was going bad in my Elites, otherwise I wouldn't have spent the doe.
