No, it's a game - not even close to a true simulator. They don't even know what direction the Thunderbirds roll

No, it is not... (confirmed by Public Affairs). Neither is it endoresed by the USAF or the Thunderbirds, regardless of other claims... Although we arguably reproduce their image in what we do, I'd go as far as calling this plagiarism!

Thunder over Vegas is a far cry from an accurate representation. There are so many things incorrect about the sim/game, some very blatant ones too. We declined to beta test even though we were offered to after an initial overview. I'm sorry, but it's a joke! It's a false representation of the Thunderbirds, and at least last year, we discussed this particular issue with Tbirds PA and they got quite upset about a few things this producer is claiming on the website.

This is one can of worms I'm not afraid to open up!

Re-read my last post. I added more comments, but lost my airport WiFi as I was editing, so it didn't come up in time before you guys replied.

Lol, I noticed the "diplomatic" repost LD, much better

I also like the fact that half of the links on their website don't work.
Even if you did want to but the product, you couldn't as the link is disabled. Or maybe someone's already slapping a law suite on their six!!
And don't get me started about the grammer on the site lol

I'm not sure what happened after the Thunderbirds initially found out about it, but word was they were going to put an end to it or the parts of it they weren't willing to be wrongfully affiliated with. In the mean time of course, they went through a team rotation and had their PA staff swapped out with a new PAO no less, so it may have slipped by their attention. I know Bon had a brief conversation with E. Kreft via email regarding this a while back. We'll see if we can follow up and see what the deal is?

We're not opposed to developers making Thunderbird games or sims at all, but making false claims of accuracy and/or implied endorsements by the Air Force, Thunderbirds or their personnel and honkin' the horn about how authentic it is, just gets me pissed off (much like it did with last years PA office as well).

I see the comment about not being authentic.
Can someone tell me what makes Lock-On more authentic than this new sim?
I would assume you could fly this new sim the same way as Lock-On as far as formation flying or does it only allow the plane to roll one way. (The wrong way) Gunner, what inaccuracies are you refering to?
Is it the sim coding or just the guys who made the video just not doing the formations exactly correct. The spacing looks like a training type spacing that may be a setting in the game. But I would think as a team starts training that they creap up on getting tighter as they progress.
Just trying to get more information here.
