Thunder over Lutherville, MD

Post by Tailhook » Sat May 19, 2007 5:51 pm

I was in the middle of cutting my grandmothers lawn and the next thing I know, I hear something like thunder. I shut off the mower and so to me it sounds like a jet flying by and I am trying to track it with its noise and where its coming from. I take a look straight ahead through the tree line and see a Delta of Thunderbirds passing by going at least 500mph. I immediately started cheering cause it was really cool to see them fly by because to me what are the chances of that happening again to me. Well, I take it they were heading over to the Preakness for a flyby coming from Andrews AFB where an airshow currently is at. I will be heading down to the show tomorrow if its not raining and it should be a lot better than it is now. Just felt like sharing the experience I had today that is very uncommon and unlikely to happen again. :)
