. There was a big old ceremony and stuff here in Maryland celebrating him and his accomplishments

I'd second what Viper said to congratulate
Christer Fuglesang on completing the most difficult spacewalk of STS-116 and one of the most complex for the construction of ISS and also
being the first ever Swedish astronaut in space!!!

Way things are going weather wise in Florida and out and Edwards, it looks like Striker may have a nice show out in New Mexico! Get us some pictures!

do you know what way their coming in? from over the Pacific or Atlantic cause if on the east coast I might get to be able to see the flames on re-entry

Too late Viper, the bird is already down......looks like they snuck 'er in between some weather at KSC.

With regards to your other question, I believe they bring them in from the south now to avoid what happened with Columbia, when debris went everywhere over Texas and Louisiana. Kind of a sad reason, but a safe one at that.

Yup I watched the landing on NASA TV off the website.. I also was ablt to catch the launch live on nasa tv as well..
So thats my FIRST shuttle launch to see Live and Landing Live...
Congrats to the Discovery Crew on a Safe mission!!
AMAZING!! shots of the launch too btw...

I just heard the twin-sonic booms while out in Orlando late this afternoon. Pretty neat (and surprising, since with the weather at the time I would never have guessed they would bring the Shuttle back to Kennedy).
