Microsoft Flight Simulator X

Post by Lawndart » Tue Aug 01, 2006 7:28 pm

Go to this page @ www.gamespot.com and click on the video called "Microsoft Flight Simulator X Official Movie 2" posted July 31st. Pretty much sums it up for me (wait for the quote at the very end!)...

X looks fantastic and I I'm sure it will be a terrific upgrade to the most impressive flight sim in scope and depth. Lock-On still rules in netcode and flight dynamics, that much you can almost tell from just looking at the videos. None the less, X is quite an achievement!

Now, go watch that video!!!

I was just on my way over here to post that movie  . I love that, he's sitting in the coffee shop and doing an emergency landing at the same time... I got some un-common pics for ya guys. Clearly in this first one you can obviously tell thats a A320 pit. Possibly Airbus will come in FS-X :D :D :D

It will be released in Delux Edition and Standard, similar to FS2002's Professional and Standard. Whats the differences? "The Deluxe version contains multiplayer cockpit capability, along with a mission builder tool for people that want to create their own flight sim adventures. For the user who really wants to take advantage of the full features and customization options of Flight Simulator, the Deluxe version will provide you with the tools you need", and to put it in simple manner, the standard version will not have those features. Here are some cool other features I found:

-Pilots can watch moving cars and detailed buildings in cities below, traffic on highways, indigenous houses, farmland and livestock, and wildlife in their natural habitats.

-“Flight Simulator X” offers players a rich and innovative gaming experience with new technological advancements, incredible graphics and added realism, including weather, time of day and seasons.

-All new mission based gameplay featuring over 50 new missions, from bringing support to the Congo, or doing a red bull air race.

Already pre-ordered my Delux copy!!! I don't think I can wait for this game much longer...
