To those, including VTB, who have made AWESOME videos of lomac,

I'm making a video to promote (or advertise :D ) my virtual squadron: -=636th=- Seahawks. I need some tips on how to throw in some cool effects and stuff. I have Sony Vegas 6. On the other hand I could record the tracks and then have somebody else edit it. I'm looking for some blockbuster effects here, something that will blow away the viewers minds, nothing original. Heres the way I see it. Picture it:

F/A-18C on the deck of a CVN-70, its morning, Christmas Day, kind of a foggy morning, cold. He takes off (music playing: Feeder - Buck Rogers). Just another recon free flight. Sudddenly a SAM picks him up, he evades evades evades but then BOOM, he's hit. Pilot ejects. Now we got A-10's escorting some Seakings to extract the downed pilot whos "Behind Enemy Lines" 8) . (Music playing: Blood Brothers - Papa Roach). SAMS are history but whats this? Enemy fighers inbound  . (Scary action movie music playing). To your surprise the A-10 locks, and fires. Spash 1!!!! Lock on bandit 2, oh no! Missile malfuntion! No worries 8) F/A-18 (me) shoots him down. :P . Mission complete, RTB!

Anybody who has some CRAZY awesome movie making knowledge that could help me out I'd be SOOO happy, thankful, greatful, you'd so have my respects.

IMHO,

Definitely a great line-up and "screenplay"!

I have come to realize that one of the best things about movie making is that it is unique to me. I love making a movie knowing I came up with a paticular idea for a shot on my own. So I guess my words of advice would be to follow your heart. But you have to make sure that you don't use anything too stereotypical (like the Top Gun Anthem or Danger Zone) which it clearly appears that you are avoiding this to begin with.

I don't know what everyone else thinks, but that is just my two cents.

Darn I was really hoping I could show how old the F-14 was with a Topgun theme to it while playing Danger Zone in the background...  I know what you mean. Countless videos, yet so similar... I got some music the goes great with the shots though. I'm really exited about it :D :D .
