at the start of my video you will see the camera shake that is because i was caught by surprise, and the second time my camera shakes its because the shuttle broke the sound barrier

Great Vid, Wildcat!

For those that don't know - NASA has a thing called NASA TV on www.nasa.gov ...this resource is awesome in that you can watch free and here transmissions between MC and the shuttle, see live feeds, etc...

About 20 minutes ago I watched the crew wake and heard the traditional song...Daniel by Elton John.

I'm hoping they decide to do a third spacewalk so that the shuttle will land on the 17th, the day we arrive at Orlando.

Not to Hijack, but this is hands down the coolest shuttle launch vid I've ever seen. Its short but sweet.

Anywhere within a 100-mile radius and you'll get the coolest part of it; the twin sonic booms through the atmosphere! However, to actually see it is like finding a needle in a haystack... The runway is north of the vehicle assembly building (VAB) and parallel to the coast line (runway 15/33). There's no telling which way they will land (until it's too late). Either they'll over-fly Cocoa Beach to the south of the Cape if they land north or they'll come in over New Smyrna to the north if they land in a southerly direction. If you want a neutral view, try the river front just to the northern part in Titusville facing the VAB and look towards the area 3 miles north (left) of the VAB since the runway is 15,000 feet or 3 miles long and from that point of view to the north (left) of the VAB. You might be able to see it from there as long as you have a clear, unrestricted view of the VAB. Just don't expect it to be as entertaining as a launch!

Ok, LD, I think I have the general location:

On Washington Ave (just south of where the 1 is on the map for Route One) and while facing east you'll be as close as possible and looking directly at the mid-point of the runway. If you zoom out the google image you're showing here, you should be able to see the strip just off to the lower right corner in the image (currently not visible).
