Hey Virtual Pilots

After a format and fresh install of windows I am no longer able to connect to a Lock On server. I haven't yet tried hosting to see if anyone has a problem connecting to me.

I have tried all of the obvious things like disabling my firewall and anti-virus altough I had the identical programs before without any issues. I'd appreciate some ideas!!

Check if you still have a public IP, your ISP may be giving you different service (a private IP) if it sees you as a different computer. Doing an ipconfig/ release and ipconfig/ renew in the command prompt will usually take care of that if that is indeed the problem.

Problem was wrong patch!! I got the file here http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php

When you click on the link for 1.12a the file name is 1.11 but I never noticed that and went ahead with install etc. You would think that when trying to join a server you would get an error msg saying "wrong version" or something to clue you in but that would be too simple!!
