The 6DOF model is only 19000Euro. The 2DOF with seat is only 5300Euro. Crazy but not the outrageous kind of crazy.

Finished the center pedestal today...

A few goodies I have acquired recently...

I obviously need to change the instrument faces and bezels, but the instruments were super cheap & I want to see if I can utilize the backlighting & such...The panels came from Mike Williams over at "Viperpit.org" if you want to see some real Viper pits, browse over there - It's unbelievable what some of these guys are doing!

And this guy wasn't so cheap, but it's the real thing and fits perfect! Now I just need to figure out how I can get Krista to swing a big magnet around as I fly!

Those BMEP guages are interesting. They have no place on an F-16 of course but I was wondering if you knew which aircraft they came off?

I just thought the same thing myself. They look to be to a 4 engined piston powered aircraft. I wonder if it may be a B-17 or B-24, maybe even a DC-4?

They came from ebay - the guy only knew they were from a US military aircraft, obviously four engine. All I care about is they are standard 3" and the face plate can be changed out. In the beginning, my instruments will just be dummies, but I'll have the option of interfacing working gauges.

I don't think they are off a DC-4. The reason I say that is because the engine on the DC-4 was the P&W R-2000 Twin row Wasp, the same engine that was on the Caribou that I used to fly and we didn't have a BMEP guage for those.

I am thinking maybe they were for a compound engine, maybe off a KC-97 or something like that...

Found them on a DC-7 cockpit in Airliners.net

http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0234271/M

I was right about them being compound engines. 4× Wright R-3350-18EA1 Turbo-Compound radial piston engines , 3,400 hp
