I believe he is using a display matrix box from Matrox which supports 3 monitors at 1280x1024 and connects tot he video card via a single cable. I believe it acts like a single monitor with an odd resolution.

Lock On supports wierd resolutions, and the aspect ratio has to be manually edited in the graphics.cfg file in order for it to work right. I personally have had a 3360x1024 resolution working in Lock On between two diffferent displays and it works great!

Some pics "stolen" from this thread @ lockon.ru forums. Also, take a look at post #90 in that thread (p. 9). Triple-Head Projector... Man, now we're talking!!! :D

Here's a nice setup with three LCD's (using the Matrox TripleHead2Go):

Neat, but not quite as economical or useful; Wideview: http://www.wideview.it/wideview.htm Pics here: http://www.wideview.it/pictures.htm

This has definitely got me thinking about getting a Matrox adaptor and adding another screen. What is the max resolution that the TripleHead2Go is capable of putting out? Will it support a widescreen LCD (16:10 ratio) up to 1680x1050 x 3 screens or is it limited to a lower res and/or 4:3 ratio?

Hey LD,

Here is the information you are looking for off the Matrox website.

The TripleHead2Go Mode Expander Tool (TMET) is a little software applet that enables support for extra resolutions (beyond the 4 native modes that come with the TripleHead2Go), such as triple widescreen support, dual resolution support and a higher refresh rate for CRT users.

Matrox TMET gives you support for the following five modes:

Resolution Refresh rate Notes
2560 x 1024 (dual 1280 x 1024) 60Hz Run TripleHead2Go in DualHead configuration
3360 x 1050 (dual 1680 x 1050) 60Hz Run TripleHead2Go in DualHead configuration
3072 x 768 (triple 1024 x 768) 85Hz For CRT support
3840 x 720 (triple 1280 x 720) 60Hz Widescreen mode
3840 x 768 (triple 1280 x 768) 60Hz Widescreen mode

http://www.l-computer.com/monitors/athe ... /index.htm

haven't found any info on pricing or how to buy, but I think we'd all have to put our piggy banks together for that one

It's nice, but man whats up with that seat? Thats like a Nascar seat  I however prefer things with arm rests, so I can rest my arms and then control, it makes me more stable and it helps not make my hands so cold from the blood leaving my hands, having to reach UP to my computer desk. I do have a pretty nice setup for civil flying though. Also, as mentioned earlier, I use this computer for work  .

That one with the black office chair is similar to the one i will be constructing this winter for when I am home. Now, whether i can get it into my dorm room and if my roomate wont kill me is another problem! Im thinking something where I can take the pit part of it off (hotas, keyboard, other periferals, etc) and put it in my closet......maybe something similar in concept to a TV tray...
