No Throttle Response
No Throttle Response
Hey Gang,
I'm sure this is an easy fix, but I am unable to get any throttle response with my Cougar in LOMAC. I have installed and re-installed the VTB profile, and buttons on the throttle work as well as the joystick and its buttons...just no increase in thrust with throttle. The profiles are enabled and emulation in ON.
Everything works fine in Falcon 4.0. I'm new to this game, so I'm sure it's me.
Thanks in advance.
Todd

Follow Rhino's instructions. To change the corresponding axis/slider, highlight the input and double click it (or hit "change"). When the pop-up box shows up, move the axis or slider you wish to assign back and forth and it should "grab it"! Click OK... (that is to the best of my memory of how it works).
This thread here contains screenies with some of our setups screens. Use them for reference to match the input axis'/sliders (and curve settings): http://www.virtualthunderbirds.com/foru ... .php?t=349

Oh no... I use the entire range! While in formation throttle movements may be minute, but you will need idle power for things like the float, taxing and full AB for a few rejoin maneuvers and more. Also, depending on where Boss has his throttle, your range needs to extend lower and higher than his setting at any given time which is why it wouldn't be very convenient to have a hard stop somewhere near Boss' power setting if he needs to keep the power low while coming in for a maneuver (just to give you one example). I wouldn't recommend welding stop blocks on your throttle quadrant (i.e. My two cents: Do not change the linear throttle curve)!

You should open up the Kitty and move the detents to 95% and 75% or 95% and 100%. That is what most of us use I believe. The Diamond hardly flies above 95% power and 75% is a good taxi reference to maintain speed. As a Solo and in a deeper position in the Delta formation, I have mine set to 95 and 100%, since it gives me the added detent of Full MIL needed over the top of the loops as well as going between AB and Full MIL in formation with Striker.
You may find it hard to join us for a flight this week. I know many guys are busy IRL (myself included) until Thurs/Friday and from then on, we'll be performing VFAT live this weekend. After that, I'm sure someone will have lots more time to give you a tour of the virtual skies VTB-style. You should come see us fly VFAT (details in the announcement forum) Saturday.
