106 Rolls, 56 Loops

Post by Gunner » Tue Aug 15, 2006 12:19 pm

Yesterday I logged 106 Rolls, and 56 Loops flying mostly right wing, a little left  (Burner, that's for left wing, not the total number  )

Fury, Thumper - thanks for joining me for the last six sorties, maybe if we keep this up for a year or so we might become proficient enough to be spare pilots on the team. :D

A couple screenies from last night:

:D Just drop me a PM when you and Fury want to tryout again, after August we'll be back to business as usual and will be looking for Phase II candidates to start joining us in our lighter practices.

Keep up the good work. Be sure to post some screens from mid-maneuver next time so I can get an idea of how you're progressing 8)

Good grief Gunner,

150 maneuvers in one day? I don't think I've logged that many all summer...

Strictly judging by all the sceenshots, No. 2 and 3 are (triple-T) too far aft and borderline of becoming too tight (close to Boss), even for a Diamond formation. No. 4 is a little too forward and too stacked (deep). There are new reference diagrams along with sight pictures in our gallery if you guys need them. Keep up the good work! You know I wouldn't even comment on the spacing unless it was worth commenting on!

LD and Convertable -

Thanks for the critique, keep in mind I had three newbies(myself included of course) flying diamond - sometimes you gotta take the best screenie you can for the entire formation

I could have posted hundreds of shots with two of us in, but those were the closest I could get for all three  also, three of the six tracks with all three of us didn't get recorded. If I remember right, all three of us flew spot on the whole time in those sorties :?...I guess it's time for more practice - after I ice my arm

We would love to. I'm sure we'll do. Gunner, Thumper that was painful and a lot of fun. We'll have to keep posting some new ones. Fun stuff.

Screenshots are only 1/30 sec in time - I can give you lots of those...take a look at my last movie http://www.summerthunder.net/movies.html
(more July '06 practice clips) ...that was made 7-29(my birthday), so I've done several hundred rolls and loops since then(thank you Red). I've certainly progressed since I made that flick, but it will at least show you some progression since the last time I flew with you.(Which has been way too long BTW )
