+ For the A-10 and F-15, added automatic flaps extension/retraction based on indicated airspeed when the flaps are set in the “down” position in the cockpit.
Has anyone tested this yet in 1.2.1? (I'm away from the "office" still).
Does this mean the A-10 and F-15 have "auto flaps" now or simply that you can (inadvertently) select flaps and have them deploy when the indicated airspeed parameters set by the devs are met.
Does anyone know if this will also apply to other flyables (e.g. F-16C)? As much as I wish the Viper had properly modelled alt flaps, this doesn't sound like the solution and the current FM performs so closely to the real world parameters now without any flaps that, unless this newly/re-introduced feature is accurate, I just don't see it enhancing our realism in numbers...
I'm liking the 4G pulls (and proper power settings) too much to go back!

At takeoff put flaps up manually before 250kts...so they will no longer extend automatically if you fly slower than 250kts or whatever. But if you manually extend them they will still retract if you go faster than 250kts.Dutchman wrote:Does someone know how to disable the automatic flaps?
Because we want only our flaps down when we fly some slow speed maneuvers, not in a loop or barrel.
