Could ED have picked a less confusing version #?

I didn't see any fixes I had hoped for, only having to deal with the newly added servergraphics.cfg for integrity checks...

Still hear the "CockpitSystem.ogg" instead of the "Cockpit.ogg" when closing/opening the canopy...now...how hard can it be to fix that?

I guess hard because I reported the bug by email at c0ff (creator of the sound engine) personally.

I think they're trying to "consolidate" sound files, Frazer. I noticed that right away as well.

+ For the A-10 and F-15, added automatic flaps extension/retraction based on indicated airspeed when the flaps are set in the “down” position in the cockpit.

Has anyone tested this yet in 1.2.1? (I'm away from the "office" still).

Does this mean the A-10 and F-15 have "auto flaps" now or simply that you can (inadvertently) select flaps and have them deploy when the indicated airspeed parameters set by the devs are met.

Does anyone know if this will also apply to other flyables (e.g. F-16C)? As much as I wish the Viper had properly modelled alt flaps, this doesn't sound like the solution and the current FM performs so closely to the real world parameters now without any flaps that, unless this newly/re-introduced feature is accurate, I just don't see it enhancing our realism in numbers...

I'm liking the 4G pulls (and proper power settings) too much to go back!

Tried it.

Put the flaps out on takeoff, then get above ~270 they retract.

Also, tried an MRT (entry at 450, full burner, full backstick) and by 180 degrees into the turn I was down to 250kts, so there is some more bleed than before.

Flaps also add drag now.

Does someone know how to disable the automatic flaps?
Because we want only our flaps down when we fly some slow speed maneuvers, not in a loop or barrel.

At takeoff put flaps up manually before 250kts...so they will no longer extend automatically if you fly slower than 250kts or whatever. But if you manually extend them they will still retract if you go faster than 250kts.

See if 'SHIFT-F' (full flaps) also utilizes automatic extension/retraction (or if it's just the 'F' key).

AFAIK only the F-15/A-10 have this feature. Any other "flyables" inherit the flap settings from the SU-27. Then there's always the option to not use any flaps at all (which is what we do).
