Flaming Cliffs
Very curious question. I was wondering if Flaming Cliffs is worth buying. I just wanted to know if the frame rates improved. I don't know about you guys but the trailer of the thunderbirds 2005 seemed very smooth, if its not another one of your editing tricks
. Just wanted to know if the money is worth the game

Lock-On is currently the best combat flight sim available and I'm sure most would agree, especially the people on this board. It is hands down the best flight sim for formation flying, bar none!
Flaming Cliffs is a big improvement over the 1.02 patch (and that's really all it is, a patch - not so much a separate game except for the AFM of the SU-25). As far as framerates, I never really had an issue with that before, but they are certainly not degraded now! I'd say most mid-range systems will run the game just fine, although 1Gb RAM and a fast GPU (video card) has the most impact on the playability factor.
If you post your system specs it would be easier to give you an idea whether you'll be able to run FC. Have you run LOMAC (1.02) on your present system? If you have and it ran fine, FC should run fine as well. It may take longer to load everything into memory, but once in game - the frames should be roughly the same as previous versions. If not you can always tweak the graphics options.
Only flag would be if you're using a low-end system with an onboard graphics controller (MoBo integrated graphics adapter). Lock-On does not run well at all on these systems (a.k.a Dell sub-$1,000, cheap Gateway etc). You really need a CPU, a GPU, RAM and preferably a non-integrated sound card too and you should be good to go!
So, to answer the big Q. Is FC worth buying? Of course, and at less than $20 now it's a bargain! Even if you were to buy LOMAC+FC, it would still be less than $40.

P.S. Moving making has it's tricks in capturing footage to make it smooth, but WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). The trailer actually has equal to worse framerates than I get while flying...
