LoMan
LoMan
I am having trouble with LoMan. I installed it and reinstalled and I even reinastelled my Windows and that VTB mod is still showing up in yellow. Nothing is working and I can't unistall it from LoMan, so could anyone help if possible?
RE Loman
It's telling me no backup files f15-collison.lom - no action do it manually. I'm not understanding why this thing is happening when I try to unistall?
Assuming you have LOMAC + LOFC + patch 1.12a/b, then LoMan 2.1 + the unofficial LoMan patch when you first started, all you should need to do is uninstall the mod and it will work fine. There may be messages saying it's not uninstalled if I remember correctly, just hit uninstall a couple of times in LoMan and then go into game and check the F-15 model and pilot to be correctly shown (i.e. no Tbird gear, no red flight suit etc). If so, then it did uninstall despite the error messages referencing the F-15 files. If you installed the mod with the wrong version of the game and/or LoMan (or even used ModMan), then you'll probably need to reinstall the entire game itself to get rid of the contents of the mod.
If someone else has a better explanation as to why these error messages (manual deletion required in LoMan), please let us know.
Note: If you're dealing with the Virtual Thunderbird Mod, DO NOT use ModMan... follow the instructions in the readme, our FAQs etc. You'll need LoMan 2.1 + unofficial patch installed (both can be downloaded here).
P.S. @Cowboy, in your original post you said you even reinstalled Windows (?)... if that didn't get rid of our mod, I don't know what does!!!

Did you happen to run any other mods or patches in between installing and trying to uninstall the VTB mod?
You always want to make sure you uninstall any mods before patching, updating etc - then reinstall them, otherwise the files become "ingrained" in the program and LoMan will likely not be able to uninstall them since the pre-LoMan files are already modded if that makes sense. A complete re-install of LOMAC, LOFC and the newest patch may be in order.

Problem Solved!!
After talking to Cowboy in Ventrilo I found out he is running Windows Vista.
For anyone who is running Vista, make sure that you right click on your LoMan shortcut and select "run as administrator". If you don't do that, LoMan/Modman will not install all of the mod files and the mod will not work properly.
If you have problems and ask for help, please make sure to let us know what OS you are running. We usually assume (although, we should ask) that people are running Win XP because most of us are. Knowing the OS you're running will save you and us a lot of time in troubleshooting problems.

No problem, Shane, we've all been there before. Problems are frustrating when you've tried everything you can think of and still don't make any headway. I'm glad we were able to help you get things sorted.Cowboy wrote:Thanks to Thumper and all ya'll that helped! I really appericate it after all that pulling my hair out, what little I have.
