My Mom's cousin who works at NASA sent me this pic this morning along with others. This is the best one though.

Whoops forgot there was a launch this week. I'm surprised the overcast that we have here in Orlando didn't stop the launch at the Cape.
Anyway here's hoping they recover to FL rather than CA so we can listen for the double sonic boom

I always think the twin sonic boom is the UPS guy knocking on my door with new toys!
The launch was Tuesday, before most of the weather moved in. It was a beautiful morning South Florida at least where I was at the time.

I was born and raised in Lakeland, so I used to watch the launches every chance I got when I was a kid. Even though Orlando is closer, I could still see it from my back porch. I can still remember them like it was yesterday. It's so awesome to witness a launch first hand.

Don't let Sabertooth see that.

Cool pic there.
I've only been to Florida once, but saw a launch and it was everything I expected it to be and more, just awesome experience.
Left the wife at Disneyland and I went to the Cape lol

I have also seen one of these bad boys go up.
I saw the first one where they left the white paint off the external tank
so as you can imagine it was awhile ago. Third launch I believe.
We stood at the outer main gate in the swamp water watching and what I though was amazing was the air buffeting during launch. Even though we were 5 miles away it felt like someone was tapping your face as it was going up. A very cool experience indeed.
