ForceWare (nVidia) drivers 81.95

Post by Lawndart » Sun Nov 27, 2005 10:20 pm

I've been running the 77.77 drivers for some time and they work great. As with most nVidia drivers seems like some give you good performance, newer ones sometimes degrade performance or even worse crashes your system. After having used the 81.95 for a few days now, I think it's a keeper and will replace my 77.77 drivers. 81.95 runs stable, no graphic anomalies and a slight fps increase in Lock-On as well as other games. Also noticed the core temperature of the GPU ran a few degrees cooler throughout idling the card and loading it with processes, which is always welcomed of course!

Looks like the latest driver as of today, which is a couple of months after this thread was originally posted, is 81.98.

Just wondering if anybody's tried it and had good luck with it...

Yesterday I updated my ATI Radeon Driver Catalyst 5.7 to the newest Catalyst 5.13 and I experienced an average increase of 10 FPS! Now I finally can fly with scenery to high! :D
