Hey rollin,

Since I run the VTBirds ventrillo the first thing to ensure is that your host has a reliable connection. you kinda have to do you homework on this but I went through Divo networks and our server handles 6 people with the highest quality set really good. You also have to make sure everyone else has a good connection. Dialup just probably wont work while DSL or Cable will be just fine. As the administrator or server host you can also adjust the quality of the server if needs be and you find that there is a little lag going on but we rarely do that these days. Hope that helps. Also, If you are interested about the exact Hz settings I found for all around safe ventrillo comms just IM me.

I use the maximum settings of 44100 Hz, 16bit but if there is any voice lag detected for whatever circumstance you safest and best codec is at 11025 Hz, 16 bit. Good luck!
