Screen resolution won't fit display area

Post by Lawndart » Thu Nov 11, 2010 6:34 pm

Had this happen before on a fresh install, but can't remember how to set it up properly...

I'm using a Sharp Aquos 1920x1080 LCD via HDMI. My screen resolution in Windows is set to 1920x1080, 60Hz and all, but I'm missing the top, bottom, left and right of the desktop on the screen - just enough so I can't see the taskbar to give you an idea what's missing. If I resize the screen size (in NVIDIA), roughly 1842x1024 fits the desktop on the display, however, I do not want to run my resolution (down) to fit the screen. I need the full 1920x1080!

I've had this issue before on a fresh setup, and for the life of me can't remember how to get it properly configured so the Windows screen resolution equals my displays native resolution of 1080p, no resizing.

Anyone?

I'm assuming you still have the remote for your TV? Use the "View Mode" button to change the screen size. Currently mine is set to dot by dot.
