Startup Control Panel

Post by Lawndart » Fri Dec 25, 2009 4:57 pm

Been using this nifty little program for quite some time, and it has helped clean up unwanted programs-, update managers-, and even some spyware from loading (and being able to find it too by virtue of its listed path) when Windows boots up. It's a simple tool that lets you control exactly what loads when your computer boots up. A good compliment and in some ways better than msconfig.

Startup Control Panel is compatible with all modern versions of Windows through Windows XP. Windows Vista, after all these years, finally has a very good startup manager built-in; go to Control Panel > Performance Information and Tools, and then click on Manage Startup Programs on the left.
