Best bang for your buck?

Post by Joker » Sat Apr 04, 2009 11:22 pm

Today I was browsing the EVGA products section of there website. I'm not sure how I was brought to this section, but I discovered a video card that is so powerful and cost efficient. The EVGA GeForce 250.

Here are the specs:

Core Clock: 756mhz
Mem Clock: 2200mhz
Shader Clock: 1836mhz
Bus Type: PCI-E 2.0
Memory: 1024mb DDR3
Memory Bandwith: 70.4gb/s

The GeForce 250 card costs around one hundred and sixty dollars. If you compare this to some of the other cards that EVGA produces such as the e-GeForce 9800 GTX+, you'll find that the specs are pretty much the same but the memory is only 512mb. The 9800 GTX+ is the same price of the 250 model.

The EVGA GeForce 250 isn't a bad card, and it isn't the best card. I would recommend it if you want to only use a single card.

Try Newegg.com for the better deals.
