Oh yeh, it's better now...a full two minutes, 4 seconds to refresh this morning. It has taken me 20 minutes to check three new posts and get to this thread. iPower is a joke!

So I guess this is how iPower runs their web hosting?

Well I have noticed a little difference; I don't have to get up and stretch in between pages.

However it still appears to hang at different times i.e. when clicking the reply button.

It's been running significantly better for me about 80% of the time, but the last 20%, it bogs down to a point that I give up and close the browser.

Forums are a lot better on my end now (both at home, abroad and away). How are everyone else's forum speeds (before I let iPower off the leash)?

Mine has been pretty good as well for the last week or so. No issues. Thanks for working on this LD.

Running extremely slow for me today. At one point kept getting an error, could be maintenance, but just average forum surfing is slooowwww.

Have the forums been slow lately for anyone else? The past week or two I've been ready to tear my hair out waiting for pages to load. (Too lazy to go get the tweezers and try to find any hair though).

I talked to iPower supp yesterday (thought I tweeted about it). Kept getting the same old run-around about how everything on their end appears to be running just fine, and it has to be my ISP or local...

Forums have been intermittently running excruciatingly slow, and then normal at times. I just don't have the energy to deal with people with earmuffs today again that don't listen to the facts! If everyone across the nation is experiencing the same type of slowdown, I'd say it's most likely on their end and not the users'. Besides, the website has been running fine, but not the forums, which points to a database-, MySQL server issue. I kept getting told that the website loads just fine, and need to remind them it's not the website, but the PhP databases and/or MySQL server... More so, I cannot identify a problem that obviously appears to be on their end, yet somehow it's my problem and not theirs because it works wherever they are sitting...

Feel free to complain! Last round (as this has happened many times), I forwarded this thread to them and something was eventually done that fixed the load times.

I've opened up the fourth ticket for the year with iPower support regarding these forums running slow. I'm at the end of the line trying to deal with them...

I don't know if this will help at all, but the next time the forums load slow for you please send an email directly to iPower:
support@ipower.com

Reference ticket #6307328 in the subject line and be sure to mention http://forum.virtualthunderbirds.com in your message.

I personally don't care what you write in the email, so feel free to be as colorful as you wish, but the more details you can provide the better (e.g. location, ISP, tracert, and a description of how this forum is running slow - see previous posts). Thanks gang!

I will certainly be sending them an email... If it wasn't for the fact that I DEPEND on these forums for a good portion of our communications, I would not be reading this, because after the past couple weeks of agonizingly slow forums, I would give up if I was a casual member. :?
