I want to run FSX, Microsoft's new Flight Sim, and LOMAC, Lock On: Modern Air Combat, with the Virtual Thumderbirds MOD. I would like to be able to run FSX on very high graphics settings, FS2004 on MAX settings for sure, and I want the mirrors to run smooth in LOMAC, MAX settings hopefully (I never really ran it that much since it was so sluggish on my machine).
I figure if it can do all that then it will do everything else I want it to do. I could up the budget a bit but this is my preferred price range. Any suggestions for alternate parts, performance predictions, upgrade recommendations, ect... will be very helpful and most appriciated.

The extra money for a Core 2 Duo System will pay huge dividends in terms of hardware longevity. For a bit more here's the system I would build on your budget.
Conroe E6300 $180 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819115005
ASUS P5B $147 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131030
Corsair 1Gb DDR2 800 $189 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820145040
Your ASUS EN6600 $102 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814121018
Your Coolmaster Case $60
Your Coolmaster PSU $60 (might be a bit weak, but you can probably get away with 450W)
Total: $738 plus S+H, you can skimp on ram quality to drop the $ as well.
I am about to order my next system based on the nVidia 590 chipset but that's a $3k system cause I'm addicted to this whole video game thing
