A couple more pics...A large friend helped me get it into the "Bridge" , and onto the base just so I could get and idea of how it's going to fit. Still need to trim and paint the base, then it's on to the side consoles so I can get it flying. 8)

If you are wondering about the slot on the rear brace, here's a rendering of what I have planned - just imagine the plexiglass with an engraved Thunderbird logo lit from within.

Gunner, you just inherited the "Uber-Thunderdork" -award from Striker! ROFL!

...although, I have to say, that is about the coolest thing I've seen. A backlit Tbird logo. WOW!

Your seat is totally unreal, completely unmatched, in any capacity!!! (Not just talking about the seat itself, but your craftmanship).

Yeah Gunner that is some truely amazing work. I didn't know you have AutoCAD skills as well! An etched Tbird logo would finish that setup perfectly.

Actually I rendered that using two free programs called Moray and Povray - maybe I'll post some of the stuff I've done with it. Here's just a couple:

While I was in planning stages, a rendering of that first chiller I made...

Gunner, man. . .that looks great in front of the monitor! Congrats. I am grateful for the privilege of actually sitting on the rocket! It felt like the real deal. Can't wait to see the stick and throttle all hooked up.

I had the distinct honor of sitting in the chair yesterday. Thanks Gunner for your hospitality. What a seat. It looks and feels great. Very comfortable to sit in. Can't wait to see the realization of the "entire" pit that you have in mind... oh and the movie rocked on your "Big Screen". The bass under the couch added to the effect as well. :!: :!: 8)

Thanks again for a great afternoon yesterday. Later.

Time for a little update, especially since Bad boy checked in - I have to show off his awesome stick base!!!

I wasn't going to post any pics at this point, 'cause I'm kinda in a testing phase, but Burner wanted to see where I'm at...

The "Bridge" updated... 8)

No, none of it is functional yet, waiting for my Hagstrom KE-USB36 keyboard encoder to interface switches & pots with the sim.

Burner, as you an see, I can't go any lower or forward & still keep it close to my leg.
