Well I decided to go with an Akers Barnes pit since it's so cheap and really easy to build and modify... so here she is:

Actually he flew several center-stick aircraft. 8) Started in the A-10, then moved to the Harrier GR.7, then the F-16, and rounded off his AF career in the F-117. ;)

Nice setup... I see that you have an F-16 cockpit on the big
screen. Do you also fly Falcon (AF or Open Falcon)?

Not sure how I missed this...

I have F4AF and OF installed. F4AF was my main sim to fly especially online. OF was more of the single player but I didn't really do a lot in it. However, I haven't flown any falcon for a really long time, Striker would get a kick out of that, LOL.

Well, I finally got off my ass, and built my version of the Akers Barnes pit. Here are a few pics of it with my new Thrustmaster Cougar. For now my keyboard sits on my lap but will change that once I decide what I want as a finishing touch.

 Haha! I think you will make a lot of changes. I told myself starting out that I wanted something very simple... Now I'm on my way to a fully functional Viper Pit 8)

Little update to my "manroom". Still WIP, but I've been playing around the idea of an entertainment/gaming/pit room, all-in-one, for a long time and this is the first step...

Pit configuration with my ghetto cinderblocks supporting the HC FSSB and MFDs. Some serious armchair flying takes place here! 8)
Image

On the opposite wall is a studio day sofa, wireless mouse and keyboard moved back for surfing, gaming, videos etc.
Image

View looking back from the sofa at the media shelf and wall mounted 40" Sharp AQUOS 1080p. Eventually I'll fill the shelves with more tech toys! :)
(I absolutely love the Logitech G7 Laser Cordless Mouse BTW).
