Same thing with the Thunderbirds not getting the F-22, it is widely held that the Blues will transition to the Navy version of the JSF, and not the Super Hornet.

If you go to teh blues website in teh FAQ's it says stuff about the super hornet. It never occured to me about the JSF though. I would be nice to see both of them used either way. I LOVE the F/A-18 though. I hope it sticks around for a while. When does the JSF come out again? 2008?

Marines in 2010, Air Force in 2011, Navy and UK in 2012.
Keep in mind too that the airframes will go to standard fleet squadrons before the Blues get them.

Pretty interesting stuff. I heard on a episode of future weapons they will be as stealthy and powerful as a B-2, but have air combat like a F-16 or 18. Can't wait.
