That is awesome news!

Wow... Titusville, Lakeland, (Fort Lauderdale), Cocoa Beach... and (Rome), (Houston), Nellis are all potential ones for me.

I know we talked about meeting up at Wings over Houston & Aviation Nation... but I wasn't expecting them back at SnF next season, much less three additional shows nearby in Fla.

I guess Nellis is a much higher likelihood for me again next year than it would have been had school come through. We'll see how long it takes me to get back into the workforce.

I don't think they do the EAA very often but I haven't really paid attention (think that's what the Oshkosh show is)...nice "remote' show here (Milwaukee)...

Updated first post with latest schedule in regards to show cancellations.

Update again, as of today it looks like the entire season is grounded unless things change later on in the year.

From the Thunderbirds website:

The implementation of across-the-board cuts in federal spending has caused the curtailment of the Thunderbirds 2013 show schedule. Effective April 1, all of the team’s performances have been cancelled. The team still plans to perform at the Titusville, Fla., air show March 23-24.

I had heard rumblings that the 2013 season might have been the last season for the team as it were...

Then sequestration happens.

None the less, if the team's statement stands... The Titusville, Fla air show was one I was planning on going to this year. I just never thought it could potentially be the end of an era. You never know! Traditions, freedoms and privileges can't ever be taken for granted.

This airshow better be a high show...
