Click the F-105 TBird image and then click part 1. Interesting to see the differences in the demo flown back compared to present day.

Would be fun!

When are we gonna see a VBA Phantom show?! At least you all already have a nice model for it, but I imagine it's difficult to find info about the maneuvers.

Soon! Not that difficult if you know where to look and who to ask.

Might seem like an odd suggestion, but you could always try a FOIA request if you're looking for stuff. Couldn't hurt.

LOL this reply is OT so you can skip over it if you want.

This week I was in Florida as the military was working DACT with the students at Tyndall. I brought all my camera stuff but had low standards for any response from the base.

I went to Base Operations and asked what I needed to do to get clearance for a photo pass. Their response was, "Why do you want a photo pass?"

Me: "I'm looking to take pictures of the Nellis jets for the duration of the stay."
BOPs: "Why do you want to take pictures?"
Me: "...because I want to take pictures."
BOPs: "What are you taking pictures of?"
Me: "The NAFB F-16s."
BOPs: "Hold on, I need to get my next inline supervisor."

Conversation repeated with the next individual.

Funny thing is on Thursday, I was told that my clearance was signed and ready for pickup. I go back to Base Ops and I get the 1000 question scheme again. I said, "Look I was told it was ready for pickup." They responded with "Sorry we don't have your paperwork..."

Moral of the story, the USAF sucks and won't give out anything. They just play 1000 questions and then pass you off to the next person who repeats the same 1000 questions.

Y'know... it sounds like that's the plight of all enlisted personnel in the USAF. :?

Also, this needs to happen. Right meow.

If you needed photos why didn't you just do what Striker did to me? Simply leave a foreign national alone with no pass and a camera standing under the tail of an F-15 in the middle of the apron at Kirtland?

Security?!?!? Pfffft!

(I thought every shot I took would be accompanied by the zing of automatic weapons fire!)
