How far was he out of formation, because No. 4's FOD check is performed after every takeoff as the team is setting up for the opening pass. During this check, 4 pulls away from the formation and flies inverted above and behind them for a brief period of time.

Trying to figure out the reason for omitting the DLOT... Did they open with the Clover Opener with the Blue Out?

Did the opening pass look like this:

... or did it look like this:

Unlike the rest of the diamond, #4 holds a sustained inverted (from the time he pulls up after the BB cross until he pulls down on the rejoin).

He's checking for loose crap in the pit to prevent...this...

Especially at 1:10 in the video. Yeah, this is from an excellent former solo, but the principle is the same.

The second picture for the takeoff.

Also #4 was leaving the formation for an instant, while they all started their smoke briefly.

Talking about #4, it was a 2 seat model (D I think), and some1 was in the back, anyone has a clue on who the guest was?

Here's the video from my Facebook page.

I like the 3:00 spot where I look where no one looks, but I catch the sneak pass... and sorry I often lose the diamond on the loop cause the sun was right into our eyes as we looked up.
