Some highlights of the show. ;) In the first video it may just be me but some maneuvers look like they're flown a lot closer to the crowd in this show... the TD-BUP, High-Alpha,Hi-Low Hit, and D360 to name a few...

Thanks for posting Blaze!

Interesting change they've made to the Diamond Loop On Takeoff, where No. 4 goes Slot over the top, rather than as soon as they break ground. Also notice the Roll on Takeoff (ROTO) has a steep climb immediately after the roll (very similar to the High Alpha but faster and vertical), and the Max Climb Split S (MCSS) has an immediate steep pull up and gradual turnout after show center instead of a Flip Turn. I'd imagine this also helps the Solos whenever they need to swap baskets, but also by keeping them closer to the nest and exiting on their initial timing pattern headings, as well as providing vertical deconfliction with the Diamond behind the line for the Opener.

Here's another video showing the Thunderbird takeoffs, this time from a practice show at Hamamatsu AB Japan, Oct 16, 2009. (Reverse angle from opposite the crowd - cameraman standing in front and show left from the show line). Click on the related videos (at the end) to view the rest of the show from this angle. Here are the takeoffs:

I uploaded the first part 1 from tfw.jp (introduction and taxi) on Vimeo (I am wondering why no HD support, even though it's 720p?).

I will upload the 2nd part tomorrow.

The double narration rocks. 8)

You need a Vimeo Plus+ account to have embedded HD.

Thanks for sharing, looking forward to part 2! :)
