Former Thunderbird Commander/Leader Ralph "Hoot" Gibson passed away January 2 in Tucson.
My condolences and prayers go out to the family. Good Speed "Hoot"

Sorry to hear that. He was a great Commander/Leader and may his legend live on.

Such a sad day!

Two things I noticed in the ceremony:

One, it never amazes me why people especially on base turn their car alarms on with jets landing and taking off everywhere.

Two, did any of you all notice the missing man formation? The leader, instead of the right wing pitched up. That's the first time I've ever seen that. I suppose that was to honor Hoot as the Commander/Leader of the Thunderbirds... nice touch!
