Okay, if you look at Steve's videos from this year, and download the vid that starts with the Diamond T-D BUP, pause the video at 2:23 and look at the bottom, do I see two more F-16s in Thunderbird paint? The one on the left is a C and the right is a D, but there is a D already in the air in the slot. If I do my math right, thats 8 AC. Can infer that the C is No 4, but what is the other D there for, is that No. 7's ride?

Could be mx cycles and that they're using more than 2 D-models on the road, but do you have a link to the video?

Looks like 1 "family-model" on the ground and one in Slot to me.
One of the D's belongs to No. 7, the other No. 8.

The way our jets run down are as follows.
1-6 are all C models
We have 3 #7 jets(spares), all C's
2 #8 jets, both D's for the advance pilot and Crew Chief
That being said we will use D models in the Demo, generally number 4. The reasons for this are we will most always have a C model spare simply because if Boss aborts he wants a C model and if either of the solos spare out they NEED a C model due to the extra gas. As Lawndart said there are rare times when we have C models down for scheduled or major maintanance and have to travel with 2 buses. Hope that helps. Grab
