So what do you think about the new Thrustmaster stick?

"Muscle memory isn't there at all"

Anyway, this stick with its "ball" design looks very good and from what I can see in the clips it must feel VERY good.

I'm considering......although I might need to think of how to mount it (maybe a pit) before I buy this beast. 8)

And last but not least, the non contact sensors everywhere should make this stick last forever. But having seen previous sticks from Thrustmaster I will certainly wait for some good user reviews first.

Looks like a great product! Did they release a price estimate at E3?

Quick Q for the beta testers, is the throttle handle metal or plastic? The action looks nice, reminds me of the old Suncom throttles. :)

Yeah I miss the old SUNCOM sticks...

I had one in my garage back in 2006 when I was cleaning it out. Man... those were the good OLE days!

I too have the Suncom just as Burner knows since he tried to steal my still mint condition Suncom stick and throttle last time he visited. ;)

There's an obvious FauX paS by the writer in the first of these two separate articles, but regardless...

"... 'Virtual Thunderbirds' - an online flight sim team which replicates actual Thunderbird stunt shows in Microsoft's Flight Simulator X..."

Now that's a low blow if I've ever seen one!

And also something we cringe to see... misrepresentation is definitely not cool for us and one word like that can mean someone finds an entirely "different" team... :?

I think I just blew an O-ring. I sure hope they can edit that page...

GamingShogun article corrected:

"During the evening, we were not only treated to a presentation on the creation of the HOTAS Warthog, but also demonstrations of formation flying by the 'Virtual Thunderbirds' - an online flight sim team which replicates actual Thunderbirds' stunt shows in DCS' Lock On - Flaming Cliffs 2. According to several members of the virtual flight team, they primarily use the HOTAS Cougar flight system, although some had apparently already been testing out the HOTAS Warthog for Thrustmaster (lucky ducks!)."
