Yes and no... The model in the poster is not the F-16CJ, but as I'm sure you've seen by now, (during VFAT), we flew with our brand new Block 52 F-16CJ. It's still being touched up, and along with its family version, the "DJ" model, both should be in our hangar sometime in '09.

Look for an official announcement soon, meanwhile let's look back at VFAT here...

I don't think I've gotten a good enough look at the nozzle on the new F-16, but if you want a fully accurate GE nozzle, let me know. :)

I am more than sure they have the correct stuff...

That Nozzle isn't even close to correct for a Block52

Well, I had a long post typed up explaining in detail the differences between engines, intakes, block numbers and serials, exceptions from the rule, as well as why the CJ designation wasn't officially adopted rather than the Block 50/52. I don't have time to retype all that again, after my hotel connection "dumped" all the text when I hit the submit button.

@Viper, the short answer is we do not need a different nozzle, our CJ uses a F100-PW-229 by Pratt & Whitney, but thanks.

Any comments on VFAT? I thought a lot of teams did really well, and I'm looking forward to seeing the "live" replay of the VBA stream tonight at 9PM ET (0200 GMT). :D

Tailhook....not that I'm tracking your F-16 knowledge but you are 0/2 now. First the tailhook...then the nozzle...what's next?

I'm not laughing.

I don't know a whole lot about F-16's so I really don't care. Both nozzles look almost the same to me.

You live and you learn... ;)

The many different versions of F-16's are quite astounding, so don't feel bad.
