[2007-07-04] New Virtual Thunderbird Selected - Whack
Happy 4th of July to everyone!! Once again it is my great pleasure to announce the newest member of the Virtual Thunderbirds! We welcome Todd "Whack" MacLeod to the team. He has worked incredibly hard to earn this coveted position. Whack will be a great addition to our flying and we look forward to have him flying "full time" and earning a position on the demo team. Congrats, Whack!! What a great way to celebrate Independence Day with Thunderbird red, white and blue!

Welcome to the team *******!
Whack will definitely be a great addition, not only for his skill and dedication, but versatility. The rest of the ride is only about to begin, but we look forward to sharing the ride with you! Hard work lies ahead no doubt, especially as an aspiring Solo pilot, but you've earned every bit of it so far Whack!
Once again, Congrats

Wow!
What a great 4th of July. I just want to say how proud I am to be associated with such a great group of people. I had no idea that when I began this endeavor over 8 months ago that I would have had the opportunity to learn what I have learned, and to have met the people that I've been able to meet. I am truly proud to be a part of this organization. I look forward to training season!
Best to all,
Whack

I know it's a little cheesy, but it's easier to relate to the #'s and their counterparts in real life, as we mimic their image. Virtually; however, we like to think of it as a support role (spare pilot, future pilot and/or live demo support personnel).Whack wrote:Okay. I didn't know I was going to be the Flight Surgeon.
Just "flip the No. 9 upside-down" and become the Opposing Solo from time to time!

congrats Whack! great, so does this mean I need to shoot for #11 now?
i still got the formation gift....yeah I know, I gotta get back in the groove VTB style but once your there you can get it again.
@LD- thats a nice way to go with the #9 position ...just flip it upside-down. Also, might want to update the Pilots section now with the new addition.
