hey guys, GREAT job on that video i remember seeing it quite a while back, and even had some of you help me and a few other guys on the Virtual Snowbirds then i kind of dissappeared heh

but I had a question ... where might I find and download or buy the effects that were used in the video? the Blurr in and Blurr out, and the screen-shake effects? They would work well with my racing game vids

Windows Movie Maker (included with Windows) does a decent job of making movies and adding sound tracks. Add some extras from here. You'll need to capture the game footage with Fraps first though...

yea thats what i use, fraps ... i dont like it tho, it takes my game, which will run 60 FPS, and as soon as i start recording, take the frames to about 15 ish, or worse, maybe 20 if im lucky and my sys specs arent bad

Adjust the capture settings to allow for better frames. Less fps, no sound and disabling graphics options that will not benefit the final render, like force mip mapping, texture quality etc (in your ATI or nVidia settings). Finally, in LOMAC especially, frapping with 1/4 game (two clicks of Alt-A) speed works excellent and then use the video editor to speed up the footage 4 times again afterwards. This way you essentially quadruple your frame rate for the movie and can afford frapping in "slide-show" mode with high settings.

well the jitter cam is in Lomac... but the SUN BLURR effect is in SOny Vegas

Okay, I have no experience with LOMAC whatsoever and I do all my virtual flying with MSFS, so this brings me to two questions:
1.) What is a "jitter" cam (I know its a type of view, but elaborate - lol)
2.) Would you reccomend LOMAC for this type of PC:

1). Jitter cam makes the view move around and shake slightly to simulate vibrations in the real world.

2). If lomac works on my geforce 2 then you should be able to play it.

A way to test this is to download 3dmark 03 from Guru3d.com and run that. I got an 85 LOL.

Hi Virtual Thunderbirds!

I downloaded the video a couple of days ago, and I've noticed the screen shaking and other distortions.

Is there any way to view the video and have it playback as the 2006 preview video does? I know there are special effects in the video (to give the sense of movement, etc.) but I'd love to be able to simply watch the video without the shimmering, shaking and other special effects.

I simply loved the preview video and I was really lookng forward to 40 more minutes of your flying perfection without the 'Blair Witch' effects.

Unfortunately there is no way to get rid of the "shaky cam", but whenever we get around to editing and producing our next full feature movie, it will have the quailty (if not better) than our trailer currently has.

By the way, back in the 1990's, I attended quite a few airshows and the Thunderbirds had an awesome soundtrack to their show. One of the more popular songs was Barry White's "Love's Theme" toward the end of the show (the bomb burst, I believe), if that jogs some memories.

Do you all have that soundtrack? If so, is it for sale? If not, do you know how I can get a copy?
