Did you know that both the runway at Gibraltar's Airport and motor vehicle traffic cross are at the same level?

British Air 134, cleared to land runway 09. Take second left onto taxiway Alpha when able. Do not, repeat, do not take first left down Main.

Wow! Imagine a car that doesn't stop for the lights...
But well, I think they'll stop. ;)

Wow  , I'd certainly consider that a "hot spot" for possible runway incursions.

I think they should have some type of vehicle capture net that goes up when the light is red - just in case some crazy tried to drive through the gate.

We had the same situation here in Holland at a military base when my dad was young. If the light was red, you waited for a few Starfighters to takeoff or land. 8)

I'm gonna say there were cracked windows now and then with Starfighters flying over.

No, according my dad it was a road right over the runway. Eighter way, traffic lights were not a luxury at Gilze Rijen eighter.

Hmm, I think it was Ypenburg which had such a situation...but I'm not sure because there are no pictures of it. :(
