Wie Gehts?
Had to feed my IAD (Internet Addiction Disorder), so I found a HotSpot in the terminal at Frankfurt Intl. where I'm sitting right now on my way to the motherland... No, not Russia, but Sweden! Maybe, my homeland is a better word, but for now I'm stuck in "foreignland" for another hour. Just figured I'd stop in and say hello! Call me crazy, but guess what is the first thing I do on my vacation is? Start thinking about Tbird stuff of course.... aaaaaaah, I need professional help! I even watched a (new) DVD with a recording from the first season they flew 16's on the way over here. Time to forget about this stuff for a while, but it's just so darn hard (it's too much fun). In a few hours, it will be easier though, with a drink in my hand, down by the river at some outdoor café back home... Hello heat wave too. Who would have thought the temperatures would soar into the 90's back home. Not complaining though...
Auf Wiedersehen! and "Recht auf in viiiiiieeer!!!"

P.S. I've been looking all over for you Dirty... Is that your A340 parked outside my view by the window here?!?!?!?!?!

Hey, you were in Frankfurt on Thursday? Cool!
too bad,... I was on my way to our extremely liberal neighbour-country to the North-West, Holland, to spend the weekend Windsurfing and just got home...
Now You're in Sweden? Man, you picked the right time to go. If the weather up there is half as nice as here, it must be great. Darkness only between 11pm and 3am but still nice and warm at day. Sweden is definitely on my must-see list. I hope you brought a few beers though!
When are you heading back home to the States? If I happen to be at the airport at that time I could come over and just say hello. It's only a three minute walk from our dispatch.
Enjoy your stay in Scandinavia,...

Don't worry, that's absolutely normal. Wanna know what the most unusual location is where I ever checked the Tbirds forum? FL360 N60°00,0' W042°00,0'. Just south of Narsarsuaq/Greenland. My Captain and I were talking about flying sims, and I said: "I wish I could show you the Video". He had access to Lufthansas "Flynet" broadband iNet access on board. So we downloaded and watched the video somewhere between 45° and 50° West on our way to LAX.Call me crazy, but guess what is the first thing I do on my vacation is? It has been quite warm, but the last two days we've had thunderstorms. Not the kind back home, let me tell ya! These have been monstrous, big black and scary with the sound and roar of thunder running deep into your flesh and bones! Not as frequent lightning, but when it does strike it propels you airborne from shear terror by the sound. Guess the air is thicker or something around here, they sure dwarfed the storms back in southern U.S of lately...
It's nice to just relax though and not be able to fly (sims or in real life) for a while. I've definitely eaten too much good food since arriving here and totally neglected to shave or make any attempt to actually present my way in anything resembling properly. So, far I'm doing a great job of looking like a slob (and it's getting worse each day)!
I probably won't connect through Frankfurt on the return trip. I'll check the loads a day or two before and decide which way to fly home, but knowing me I'm probably going to end up taking the easiest route home, which would be Stockholm-NYC and then jump on US Scareways down to Charlotte.
I definitely get many great ideas being away from everything. Stuff we can do and how to do it with the VTB's... and no matter how much I try, I just can't get it out of my head entirely. It's just too much fun!
Ha det bra och njut av det som är kvar av sommaren! (Translates: Have a great time and enjoy the rest of summer!).
