I noticed with a Su-25T I can get smoke on the ground, is there a way you could edit meinit.xml and copy over the pylon info to other planes and have it work on those as well?
Also while messing around with the CDDS browser I got from combatace I noticed you can edit cockpit textures. For example:
Why doesn't some super artist guy make some cockpit textures or copy some photo real ones of a F-16, and replace the F-15 cockpit? You guys would be uber stylen then

That's not possible to the best of my knowledge. You're talking about repainting, as far as what attribute in LOMAC controls the ability to engage smoke while on the ground I'd have to guess that its the advanced landing gear modelling/ advanced flight model of the Su-25T. We already know LOMAC treats non advanced flight model aircraft differently when they're on the ground as we all saw in previous versions of LOMAC where the planes would leap a bit as they left the ground. Even in versions where this happened it did not happen to the Su-25T as how it handled on the ground was fully modelled based on the spring rates of the gear and the center of gravity of the Su-25T. I'm guessing that something about this difference prohibits smoke on the ground. If I had to guess even further I'd say the aircrafts airspeed (and probably many other variables) is not being sent to the weapons modelling or smoke rendering code when its on the ground.

You lost me in the second sentence

. I'm not a super modder or anything lol, just a LOMAC guy with some ideas. By trying to make sense of what you said though, it sounds like it's not happening. Lets all pray for Fighter Ops! I read in the forums it's going to have as stable of a multiplayer as LOMAC, if not better! Can't wait

. Plus if it does, then you guys are in luck because the first module is based on the F-16, AND you can fly at Nellis!

I'm not sure if they would change. Good point though, and Smoke on the ground would be cool.

...if there's no way to get smoke on the ground, just remember that as long as you still got time to dust off your old vinyls, then there will always be "Smoke on the Water" God that's great.
