I've had a few e-mails recently from early era aviation researchers/writers trying to find information about Shelly and Paul, along with more info about this last mail flight. They've all seen this thread, apparently it's one of the first ones that shows in Google. Going to use this thread to post i...

Quoting fsiflyer on jetcareers.com - he said it better than I.

I echo what LD said. I would prefer to get an EVGA mobo just because of their excellent tech support and lifetime warranty. I'll probably wait for EVGA to release a board that supports the i7-2600's. In the meantime I think I'll get an EVGA GTX 580. I'm not sure why I need it, but I just want one, m...

Bah, I'm going FedEx! But American may be nice as well - would be cool to fly with Whack 8) Oh, I flew 8.4 hours today - didn't think I'd be over the 8 hr limit but my cross country to Meridian, MS and back took longer than expected. Was an awesome evening/night XC though - got to fly an '08 Seminol...

Just to update the thread - I completed standardization in two weeks to the day, didn't need any extra flights to gain proficiency, did great on the sim eval blocks, and actually had fun working in the call center - it was fun to talk to people that were enthusiastic about learning to fly and finall...

Been very busy down here. Working the call center, flying, simming or studying, hardly any free time. I did have Sunday off, which was nice. I've successfully completed my sim evaluation blocks, took about 6 hours - was pretty intense. Completed my proficiency flight and eval flight in the 172, and ...

And another thing to remember is that the low pay and crappy working conditions aren't forever. Lifetime earnings for airline pilots are still relatively high compared to many other jobs out there; assuming you don't get furloughed, and make it to the majors. A captain on the MD-11 for FedEx or UPS ...
