Here's a look at my set up. I just finished building my cockpit on Sunday and still have a few tweaks to make but it feels terrific to sit in and provides the most stable positioning that I have had yet. The Cockpit itself is a Akers-Barnes Cockpit, Mark 1 which I built from scratch after getting pe...

I was playing around with another Mirage video and added some different music to it. Also I changed it's format to HD. Check it out and see what you think. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=41G8M28Z Just FYI I am not certain how good this file hosting website is so let me know if you have problems. Also ...

Thanks Tomcatboy! Really enjoyed that video and loved all of the different formations and solo manuevers. It blows my mind how they can coordinate 9 Pilots to work together so well in formation. Keep it coming!

:D I know, when I saw them do that one this year my jaw hit the ground!! They also did the double farvel roll which was stunning. The one thing they didn't do was the 5 ship line abreast roll/loop. I am hoping they put it back in the show this year.

I really enjoyed that article LD, especially after making the transition to the FSSB. Learned some new phrases such as "sampling" and "roll ratcheting." I think there is a follow up article to this one so I am going to search it out.

You know when you go to a airshow and usually be for a fingertip, or pretty much any takeoff, they put on the smoke, the smoke doesn't just drift off into the wind, it gets shot back very fast. Is this because thats how hard the smoke is being sent out, or is it because the engines blast is, well, ...

The a-a mode refers to "Air to Air Mode." This means that you have selected the Air to Air Combat Mode which would allow you to employ your air to air weapons ie AMRAAMs, sidewinders and every other weapon used to attack/defend against other aircraft. This differs from "Air to Ground Mode" where you...

Generally speaking, heat seeking missles are for short range engagements ie 5 miles or less. Again which type of engagement are we talking about? Which jets are engaged? What type of missle is being used and what generation? What makes the F-22 so deadly is the fact that it can detect you from almos...
